Password Change-o

A new Password Reset program is now available for you to use if you are having trouble remembering your Digital Editions password. Here's the link. It's also on the Support Tab.

I've been working working working to try to make the login experience easier for you and I hope this helps.

When I first assigned login IDs to all of the supporters of our Indiegogo project, we didn't have the proper login procedures in place. (I was too excited to share I guess!) So some of you may have 2 login IDs: one for your Indiegogo Perks, and one from creating a new ID to get issue 175 or 176 or anything else you may have ordered from the website.

<<sigh>>

I am in the process of combining the IDs into one for most cases and the Password Reset link might be helpful. Please contact me if you need any help whatsoever, OK?

Enjoy these last few days of accessing the Digital Archive with login ID: 'digitaldog' and the password of 'treats' ! It ends on Tuesday June 30!

New! Issue 176 is out!

VW 176 Spring 2014  -  Free!

Drumroll...

Video Watchdog 176 is now available digitally on all platforms!

The issue has been finished for a while, but the website and apps both needed revamping in order to bring this issue out. It's been a struggle to say the least, but I hope the results are going to work on all devices as planned.

This digital edition, like all new ones, has been released with and without DRM (Digital Rights Management). The issue without DRM will eventually disappear from the website. It's there to allow quick and easy access for casual readers; those who are curious about the content and just want to see how it works.

The "Keepers" are exactly the same content-wise but a login ID is required. It also allows saving to your computer or laptop.

If you have a tablet or phone, the Video Watchdog App can be downloaded from the App store on your device, and you'll see the issue inside the App. Tap to download. On Android and Kindle we've introduced a sign-in procedure so that you can get the issue free forever on all devices. Just tap and it will show you how to unlock it.

If anyone experiences trouble logging in, please let me know. We are in the midst of having a password-changing program written which will help with forgotten passwords, but for now, I'm your go-to person. :-) Just contact me with link to the right.

More soon! Once I make sure this one goes smoothly, I'll be releasing more. They'll all be free for a while, so get them now while unlocking is free.

Please let me know of any improvements I can make by leaving a comment below, OK?

Our contest is still on for winning a copy of issue #1. You have a few more days to enter!

Enjoy this one. I'll make more.

Video Watchdog is 25 - Let's Celebrate!

On this day, 25 years ago, Video Watchdog was born!

Video Watchdog #1 came back from the printer after weeks of anticipation. We only received a rush order of about 50 copies, but it was thrilling! We became publishers! We had the bug. Our incredible 25-year publishing journey began that day.

There is nothing more satisfying to a writer than seeing one's work in print. Holding the issue, feeling the paper, smelling the ink. I love that Tim has an outlet for his writing, a voice in the world, and I can help play a part in that. It's a dream come true.

Eventually we had to get down off our cloud and face reality. We had over 300 subscribers and a long list of bookstores waiting for copies. Our printer sent out the bookstore copies and delivered the rest to us. 1800 issues out of a print run of 5,000 were in our foyer, all on the wrong paper, some with strange cuts, weird folds. Delivered late. I recorded more details here in my diary, but I think you get the picture. Depression set in. Still, it was our first issue and we were proud of it, even though we had a lot to learn.

Now, 25 years later, here we are in print and digital formats, and it's exciting all over again! We want to celebrate with you, so here's what's up.
